Just wanted to share with a few of you what the next big project is that I will be working on. These guys are the Lost from Hell Dorado. I also have some mercenaries in the mix as well for a completely different group that these guys can fight against. Who know maybe some time in the future I will do a battle report and post that to show how these monsters do.
Back with a little bit more work done. Caffieneforge was going for the bar tending wench on the right. It did not feel right to just paint her up alone so I went ahead and painted the guy too. Originally I was going to try and paint them up to look like Shrek and Fiona, but that fell off really quickly as I could not for the life of me get the skin to look right. Plus trying to sculpt the signature ears for Shrek and Fiona was giving me headaches. In the end I just finished them off as ghosts. It seems to work. Perhaps someday I will try again, after I have improved a lot and gained at least a little bit of experience sculpting in a smaller scale.
Sorry quite a lot has happened this month. Two of my brothers are having kids. A uncle that I never knew existed died and Hell Dorado shipped. I know that I have a pretty poor track record so far on keeping this thing updated so at this point I will just stop in every chance I get and hopefully post something useful. I do have a picture or two to show to you all. I have the strumpet from the Reaper Bones collection and the great game hunter from Kingdom Death. As I can I am going to paint up Zombicide and Hell Dorado miniatures in order to post those as well.
So I am really sorry that I have not been updating this blog or site as often as I should be. Have had many things on my mind lately and many things going on. I have been following along with the progress on the caffieneforge website. The miniature Monday posts in particular. Below are some of the pics that I have submitted to them in the past. It is a really neat idea that they had to get all painters out there working on getting something painted up each week. This upcoming Monday is the goblin warchanter I believe. It should be a very interesting model to work on. There will definitely be more updates coming along, but for now I need to work on the next miniature in the lineup for Monday. Hope to see you all back here soonish. It is looking like I am going to be a weekend updater in case anyone is wondering how often this will be changed.
Sorry everyone. I was not able to get around to doing much over the week. Had some family drop in on me unexpectedly, but am trying to get this all sorted out. There sure is a lot more to think about and consider than I knew as far as writing blogs goes. I was able to figure out a couple of small projects though. One project is I was finally able to relocate my cannons for my pumpkin heads so hopefully I will be able to show pictures of that soon. I have also started to go back through all the bones from reapers kickstarter and believe that quite a few of those will have some use in the upcoming army design. Thinking maybe a giant for the frost army or some elementals for the pumpkin heads. Thinking maybe Tuesday for the next update with pi
This is going to be my first official post and I am not sure what all to put here. I will attempt to post something at least once a week, but hopefully I will be able to post twice a week and get into a habit of working on this site much more often. I know that I definitely want to get through painting all of the miniatures that I recieved during the various kickstarters that have caught my fancy. I will be posting up images and tutorials for those that want to request them, but am mostly a drybrush fanatic at the moment. Eventually I may go into trying out other techniques like wetblending or airbrushing, when and if I can manage to save up enough money for that. From what I hear airbrushes need a special type of maintainance and I am not sure if that is for me. Any way I will put writings up for those interested in different stories or plot hooks for their games and I look forward to hearing some construct
